The Recipe For Peace Soup
Philippians 4:1-9
Just as there is a recipe for the best soups, there is a recipe for having the peace of God.
- The Believer is to have the peace of God in all areas of life.
- There are situations you cannot control, but some things you can. How you handle the things you can control will determine your response to things you cannot control.
- Where does peace come from?
- THREE INGREDIENTS FOR PEACE:
- Worry about nothing, pray about everything.
- Prayer is the biggest ingredient missing in most Christian’s lives.
- Peace that passes understanding comes from prayer that practices in all standings.
- We get peace from prayer because prayer gets results. (II Kings 19:14-20, 32-37)
- Prayer is to be made for all things with thanksgiving about everything.
- Focus your mind on things that match Paul’s description of things we ought to think about.
- The world’s entertainment and social media will rob you of peace and is designed to do so.
- Focusing on the past will rob you of peace. (Philippians 3:13-14)
- Choose where to place your focus.
- Learn and receive the right teaching, then do it.
- If you do the right things you have been taught, the God of peace will be with you.
- Do those things you see the people God has placed over you doing.
- Doing right and following God’s will gives peace even when it hurts.
- War and contention come from wrong praying, wrong thinking, and wrong doing. (James 4)
- Follow the right recipe to get the right result.
