- THE PASSOVER MARKED A NEW BEGINNING FOR ISRAEL AS SALVATION IS A NEW BEGINNING FOR THE BELIEVER
- Protection from God’s wrath and judgment on Egypt
- Protection for the Children of Israel
- Israel had to follow God’s specific instructions for the sacrifice of the lamb, application of the blood, and consumption of the lamb to receive protection from the death angel.
- He gives protection from God’s wrath (I Corinthians 5:7-8)
- Christ the Lamb had to be sacrificed (I Peter 1:18)
- Isaiah 53:4-5, I Corinthians 15:3
- Exodus 12:46, John 19:30-33,36
- The blood of Christ the Lamb had to be applied (Exodus 12:7)
- I Peter 1:1-2, Colossians 1:19-20
- The meat of Christ the Lamb had to be consumed (Exodus 12:8-10
- To consume Christ is to believe in Him and have faith in Him
- The same Lamb sacrificed/crucified must be the same Lamb consumed
- The Believer consumes Christ for strength and nourishment (John 15:3-5)
- The Believer consumes Christ for fellowship (I John 1:6-7)
